Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust received a major donation of Rs 2.51 crore from Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing officer of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), and his family. This announcement came after they visited the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on the momentous day of its consecration, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present for a ceremonial event.

Family Members Present at the Ceremony

The Entire Ambani family, including Mukesh Ambani, wife Nita Ambani, daughter Isha Ambani along with her husband, Anand Piramal, Executive Director of Piramal Group, and sons Anant plus Akash Ambani with their respective partners, Radhika Merchant & Shloka Mehta, attended the ceremony.

Beyond Ayodhya Philanthropy: Mukesh Ambani’s Prior Temple Contributions

Ambani has previously offered assistance to religious institutions. He gave the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee a noteworthy donation of Rs 5 crore in October of last year. He gave ₹1.51 crore for annadanam (food donations to devotees) at the Guruvayur Temple in Kerala in September 2023. He also offered ₹1.51 Crore to the Somnath Temple Trust earlier in March 2023 when he and his son Akash visited the temple.

Mukesh Ambani

Beyond business endeavors, Mukesh Ambani’s philanthropic commitments reveal a genuine devotion to preserving cultural and religious legacy. His latest contribution to the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is just one more example of his continuous attempts to uplift the community’s spiritual and social fabric.
