The Kerala State government is looking into a possible question paper leak during the higher secondary model test in State schools.According to reports from several media outlets, the Plus Two model test’s English question paper was making the rounds on social media before Monday’s exam hour.
Minister Files an Inquiry and Complaint
Stepping up, General Education Minister V Sivankutty ordered the Director of Public Instruction to launch a departmental investigation into the situation. To further highlight how serious the issue is, the DPI has also complained to the state police head. In a formal statement, the minister emphasised the department’s dedication to quickly resolving the matter.

In an effort to preserve the integrity of the testing procedure, the Higher Secondary Directorate sent packets containing question papers to principals of schools. Minister Sivankutty acknowledged the potential impacts on the examinations’ legitimacy and fairness, and highlighted how serious the issue was.
The English question paper for the plus two exams reportedly arrived via WhatsApp to pupils well ahead of the test period on Monday, which is concerning. Exam confidentiality was obviously violated, which begs the question of whether appropriate security precautions were taken throughout delivery.
The integrity of the higher secondary model examination has been called into question due to the purported question paper leak. In order to prevent students’ efforts from being undermined and to maintain the integrity of the educational system, authorities must act on this issue promptly and openly.
