Death of Yevgeny Prigozhin: Head of Wagner Killed in Plane Crash!

Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of Wagner, was on the crashed aircraft, Russia announced on Thursday.

The Russian aviation authority, Rosaviatsia, disclosed that Prigozhin, who had planned a botched rebellion in June, was one of the ten people in the collapsed plane. According to Russia’s Ministry of Emergencies, the aircraft was traveling from Moscow to St. Petersburg at the time it collapsed right near the village of Kuzhenkino, located in Tver Region.

The crash scene has now been cordoned off by police, as well as the Russian Aviation Authority has set up an additional commission to investigate. A probe has been started to determine what prompted the crash.

The executive plane displayed no indicators of problems until a rapid dip in its last 30 seconds, according to data from flight tracking, in relation to BBC reports.
The jet was captured on camera swiftly dropping with its nose almost completely down and leaving a path of smoke or steam in its wake.

According to Ian Petchenik, a flight tracker Flightradar24 employee, the Embraer Legacy 600 aircraft executed an abrupt downwards vertical turn at 15:19 GMT.
The airplane then descended over 8,000 feet from its flying altitude of 28,000 feet in around thirty seconds.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Wagner company, may not have died unexpectedly in the plane crash. Since Prigozhin led an armed revolt against Russian forces, many observers have speculated about what happened to him.

Vladimir Putin, the president, referred to the uprising as treachery and threatened to exact revenge. However, Prigozhin’s charges were quickly dismissed. The Wagner commander, whose forces were among Russia’s strongest combat units in Ukraine, was permitted to go to Belarus although rumor has it that he occasionally appeared in Russia.
