The court allowed Manish Sisodia, a prominent member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and former deputy chief minister of Delhi who is currently embroiled in a liquor fraud case, to spend six hours with his wife who was ill The gathering happened on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Sisodia, who is presently being held in Tihar jail, arrived at his residence on Mathura Road in a detention van at 10 a.m. accompanied by police officers, and he left the jail after the scheduled meeting time. Sisodia celebrated ‘Choti Diwali,’ lighting diyas at his home during the short visit. Even though there were reporters outside his house, he avoided talking to them.

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, revealed a moving picture of Sisodia holding his wife, highlighting the emotional cost of the court case. Kejriwal voiced worry over what seemed to be unfair treatment of a leader who has served as a ray of light for the nation’s impoverished youth.

AAP Executives Provide Emotional Support

Other AAP officials, including Raghav Chadha and Atishi, showed support for Sisodia by posting heartfelt messages on social media. The leaders showed their support for Sisodia and highlighted the emotional component of the ongoing crisis, showcasing the toll it has taken on both his personal and political life.
