Before the IPL 2024 auction in December, Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya is expected to make a major return to his old team, the Mumbai Indians (MI). This will be the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) biggest-ever transaction.
Historic All-Cash Trade
This upcoming trade will be the biggest in IPL history because it is an all-cash transaction. Hardik Pandya’s salary is expected to be paid in full by the Mumbai Indians in addition to an unknown transfer fee that was given to the Gujarat Titans. There are also hints that Hardik might receive a share of the transfer money.
Mum on the Subject
Until the IPL trading window ends on November 26, the Mumbai Indians have decided not to make remarks on this momentous development, preserving suspense.
Hardik Pandya was released prior of the 2022 season after spending seven seasons as a part of the Mumbai Indians. Even though he’s leaving, his arrival back to MI represents a big reunion, especially in light of his noteworthy contributions during his first season with the team.
Gujarat Titans’ Achievements Under Hardik’s Leadership
Pandya made history by leading the Gujarat Titans to consecutive IPL finals, winning the championship in their first year of play. With an astounding average of 41.65 plus a striking percentage of 133.49, he amassed 833 runs in 30 innings throughout his outstanding campaign. He also added to the team’s bowling ability, taking 11 wickets at an economy rate of 8.1.
Hardhik’s Injury
Pandya’s ankle injury suffered during India’s ODI World Cup campaign has kept him out of action for the time being, which puts his forthcoming IPL voyage in jeopardy.
