Jehovah’s Witnesses Meeting Disrupted
A bomb blast occurred on Sunday morning at a convention center in Kalamassery, near Kochi, during a gathering of Jehovah Witness members. It was a frightening and devastating tragedy. At least one person lost their life and over thirty were injured in the incident, five of them were in serious condition.
The police claim that there were several explosions recorded at the location; however, although investigations are still ongoing, the precise cause of the explosion has not yet been determined. The Jehovah wounded have been taken to nearby private hospitals as well as the Government Medical College Hospital in Kalamassery. When the incident happened during a regional Jehovah Witness gathering just after 9:30 in the morning, authorities became suspicious of a bomb blast.

According to preliminary blast data, there was no shrapnel and the explosion was low-intensity. Due to the identification of batteries and cables at the scene, investigators have determined that the explosive device utilized was timer-based. While expressing his sympathies over the incident, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar chastised the Keralan administration for allowing the head of Hamas to speak and allowing the programme to take place.He proposed a link between this authorization and the ensuing events.

According to reports, a man who claimed responsibility for the explosions at the Christian religious gathering turned himself in to the authorities. Authorities will keep obtaining information as part of their continuing investigation to ascertain the complete scope of the occurrence.
