The current ICC ODI World Cup has dealt a serious blow to India’s Vice captain, Hardik Pandya, who is out of the series because of an ankle injury he suffered last month. The International Cricket Council (ICC) authorized Prasidh Krishna to take his position after confirming his absence.

Pandya hurt his ankle trying to block a ball with his foot while bowling on October 19, during India’s match against Bangladesh. He was unable to play against England, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka after suffering this injury.

On social media, Hardik Pandya shared his feelings and offered his team’s support. Prior to his injury, Pandya played a significant role in the competition with both batting and ball, taking five wickets in India’s opening three games.

Alongside prominent players like Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Khan, Krishna, a pace spinner with 33 wickets in 17 single-day internationals and two Twenty20 matches for India, will be a part of the country’s pace squad.

India’s World Cup Success Continues

Although India is in a difficult situation, they are still performing well in the World Cup and are leading the rankings. With perseverance and global support from their followers, they will carry on with their journey.
