Finally, after months of waiting and speculating, James Harden’s trade request has been approved. In a move that alters the NBA hierarchy, the Philadelphia 76ers traded him to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Trade Details
In return for James Harden, the Philadelphia 76ers receive Robert Covington, Nicolas Batum, Marcus Morris Sr., and Kenyon Martin Jr. On the other side, the Los Angeles Clippers reportedly acquired P.J. Tucker and Filip Petrusev alongside Harden.
End of the James Harden Era in Philly
After playing in 79 regular-season games for the Sixers after being traded from the Brooklyn Nets to Philadelphia in February 2022, Harden’s time with the team comes to an end.
Harden displayed exceptional highs and postseason performances while he was a player for the Philadelphia 76ers. He was the league leader in assists per game, helped develop young players like Tyrese Maxey, and supported Joel Embiid’s talent. With a 54-28 record, the Sixers accomplished their highest result since the 2000–01 campaign.
