The well-known YouTuber Ruby Franke, best known for her family-focused channel “8 Passengers,” recently made news for an unexpected and distressing event. Accusations of second-degree felony aggravated child abuse led to her and her business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, being detained on August 30, 2023. A neighbor was reportedly approached by a very starving and abused child, asking for assistance. This led to the arrest. The incident has aroused doubts about the well-being of the family’s children and worries about Ruby Franke’s divisive parenting style.

The arrest was the result of a frightening event in Ivins, Utah, in which a young child was able to flee the house and ask a neighbor for help. The unidentified youngster, whose age and identity have not been released, seemed underweight, thin, and to have open wounds. Duct tape was reportedly discovered around the child’s extremities. Due to the child’s serious condition, they were sent right away to a nearby hospital.

Authorities spotted another starving youngster inside the residence after the first child was transported to the hospital. The police were forced to get a search warrant for the house since the situation was so critical. Evidence that matched the marks found on the child was discovered throughout the search, highlighting how serious the problem is.

Jodi Hildebrandt, Franke’s business partner, obtained legal counsel but made no statements to law enforcement. However, she expressed concern that the affected youngsters shouldn’t be permitted to be around other children.

Four more minor children were taken from the home and given to the Department of Child and Family Services as a result of these upsetting revelations. This action reflects the weight of the accusations and the authorities’ commitment to protecting the children’s safety and welfare.
