After Afghani police reported a plane crash, Russian aviation officials said that a 1978 French-built Dassault Falcon 10 jet had vanished from their radar above Afghanistan on Saturday night. The plane in question was a charter ambulance headed for Moscow via Uzbekistan after leaving India. The plane, which was headed out from Thailand and was carrying six passengers, refuelled in India. Identity Error: Russian-Registered Aircraft Linked with India
The aircraft’s nationality was initially unclear due to first reports, leading Afghan authorities to believe it was Russian. The Indian Civil Aviation Ministry, however, refuted previous claims that the aircraft was associated with India by stating that it was registered in Morocco. The ministry made it clear that no Indian airline owned the air ambulance.
