Canada will send troops in order to assist British Columbia in battling wildfires

British Columbia announced a state of emergency, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that troops would be sent to the area affected by the fire.

There are currently well over 200 fires raging in the neighboring region of Northwest Territories, making this year’s wildfire season in Canada one of the deadliest on record.

As the western region of British Columbia battles almost 400 wildfires that have resulted in demands for over 35,000. residents to evacuate, Justin Trudeau, the prime minister, announced on Sunday that Canada will send in armed forces to combat the rapidly expanding wildfires there.

In order to make room for refugees and firemen, British Columbia issued a state declaration of emergency on Friday, banned all but necessary travel, and advised people to use drones to photograph the fires to avoid refugees and firemen.

The air quality index in a few cities in British Columbia exceeded 350 and reached a “hazardous” level.

Government representatives in Canada requested that citizens in areas under evacuation orders to evacuate right away so as to safeguard their safety and prevent firemen from losing their lives while attempting to safeguard them.

No official figures for the overall number of demolished structures have yet been released. Social media posts included photographs and videos of wrecked buildings, cars, and vegetation being consumed by massive flames.
