In the town of Dongargarh, Chhattisgarh, the esteemed Jain monk Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, also called Vardhaman, took Samadhi. Recognizing the saint’s significant influence on spirituality and the well-being of society, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Governor Ramesh Bais of Maharashtra both sent condolences.

Living for Humanity and Wisdom

A man devoted to knowledge, tapasya, and the betterment of humanity, Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj passed away in an unbroken state of stillness. Being Proficient in both Sanskrit and Prakrit, he guided many people towards enlightenment through his writings, poetry, and sermons.

Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj was recognized by Governor Bais as a social reformer and Rashtra Sant. His departure is regarded as a national tragedy, and his ideas will always direct people towards morality.

In addition to lamenting the irreversible loss, Prime Minister Modi recalled the saint’s contributions to societal improvement, poverty alleviation, and spiritual awakening. The Jain community gathered in big numbers for darshan as they lamented Acharya Maharaj passing. He leaves behind a legacy of spiritual awakening, knowledge dissemination, and societal welfare.
