The upcoming General Election has caused the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination – 2024, which acts as an assessment for the Indian Forest Service Examination – 2024, to be postponed.

Justification for the UPSC Postponement

The examination has been rescheduled because of the approaching General Election, according to the official announcement from the Commission. The examination has been rescheduled for June 16, 2024 instead of May 26, 2024.

Effect on Openings

A UPSC notification from last month states that there will likely be 1,056 openings to be covered through this year’s test.

Beginning on April 19, there will be seven phases to the Lok Sabha elections. June 4 is when the votes will be tallied.

Because of the scheduling issues with the General Election, it is necessary to postpone the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination – 2024. It is recommended that candidates note the updated exam date and adjust their preparation appropriately.
